Did anyone who ordered tickets back in December when there was the discount/upgrade offer - get what they thought they ordered?

Thankyou.

Yes.

A ticket that can be reproduced with a colour photocopier.

just the ticket
we opted for the upgrade as opposed to the discount, but seem to have paid extra for a regular ticket. Emma's trying to get in touch with HQ now...

Re: just the ticket
Good luck with actually being able to contact HQ, I had so many problems with them last year. Given that they do this every 6 months you'd have thought they'd have it down to a fine art by now... surely?

Re: just the ticket
I got a plastic laminated bit of paper in the envelope which counts as the upgrade !

Re: just the ticket
Maybe we were being thick (you can tell me off on Thursday), but...

Emma got in touch with Jo who said that the upgrade was on available by phone.

I was aware that the discount was only available via Paypal.

Any clues, or links to the orginal offer?

Re: just the ticket
I certainly got it via the web....It was certainly paypal related and iirc it was because jo needed cash sharpish....I did post links. I'll have a hunt through.

Sounds more of left hand not knowing what the right is upto...very whitby. I'm sure if you argue your case you'll get it.

Shall indeed be putting our side across very strongly, and then resorting to tears!

With immediate effect, for a limited period of 2 weeks, WGW HQ is offering a choice of either a £5 Discount, or FULL Fringe Upgrade on April 2009 Spa Tickets. To take advantage of this offer, tickets must be purchased using either PayPal, or our ticket hotline

I belive i put in the comments when paying by paypal i wanted the full price ticket with fringe upgrade....i like to make double sure as they are exceptionaly talented at making F*ckups.

Re: just the ticket
That's from WGW website eh? I think that's clearer than the RSS feed - otherwise I may have been smarter...

Every year we seem to get a different format. Not sure why they've done away with the foil tickets again!

I do....Cost....Its a lot cheaper to photocopy a bit of paper than print proper tickets....i guess if they check the numbers and people and make us wait arround for ages as before it saves them money.

Well, I know they do it for cost. Problem is there's always incidents of forged tickets when the tickets are easy to reproduce, which I'm sure negates any printing savings.

yeah...but you can hope that doesn't happen and it gives a nice well used escape route

Yes. At least I think so. The envelope contained what appears to be a normal ticket, plus a laminated card saying Whitby fringe upgrade...

like mud
So, I take it that it was clear to some ppl at least. How did you pay for your ticket?

Don't suppose you have a screenshot of the original page?

Re: like mud
Well, it wasn't clear until I looked at all the bits of paper in the envelope... ;-)

I paid by Paypal, as that was one of the conditions. IIRC, there was an option to select a fringe upgrade in one of the menus (delivery options, maybe). No screenshots, Im afraid.
